Warehouse Supervisor

  • On-site
    • Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
  • €2,600 - €3,000 per month
  • Operations

Job description

Parfumado is growing, and every day our subscription, e-commerce and B2B orders are made, packed and shipped from our own warehouse in Amsterdam. We're looking for a hands-on operational leader to run the day. In this role you'll own daily output across production, fulfilment and e-commerce, and lead a team of around 45 people through two team leads. It's a rare mix of floor leadership, people management and supplier ownership: our packaging and consumables supply is yours too. Two team leads, an agreed capacity plan and clear SLAs per channel are already in place, so you're not starting from zero.

Your first 90 days

We're being explicit about where you start:

  1. Learn the floor. Work alongside both team leads, get to know every workstation, and map current output, backlog and SLA performance per channel.

  2. Set the rhythm. Start one-to-ones with your team leads, a structured daily start-up and shift handover, and a weekly SLA review that names the cause of every breach.

  3. Review supply. Map our packaging and consumables agreements on price, minimum order quantity and lead time, and identify the first improvements in availability or cost per order.

What you'll do

Daily output and SLAs

  • Own daily output against plan across production, fulfilment and e-commerce

  • Set release and priorities to hit cut-off deadlines, and step in the same day when the operation runs behind

  • Allocate people and hours within the agreed capacity plan, and escalate in good time when the workload doesn't fit

  • Own every operational SLA: subscription release, the e-commerce same-day cut-off, and B2B and returns turnaround

  • Set and steer the KPIs: output versus plan, on-time shipping, backlog at end of day, and errors and complaints per 1,000 orders

Leading and developing the team

  • Lead and coach our Team Lead Planning and Team Lead Process, and help them become fully self-sufficient

  • Manage individual performance: develop standouts, address underperformance and run the evaluation cycle

  • Hire within budget, onboard and train new colleagues, and build cross-training coverage per workstation

  • Follow up on absence with People & Culture and propose contract renewals

  • Roll up your sleeves and take over team lead work at peak moments or during absence

Quality, safety and supply

  • Make sure GMP, batch traceability, SOPs, 5S and safety standards, including dangerous goods handling, are applied every day

  • Keep the floor audit-ready and close quality deviations and corrective actions on time

  • Own supplier agreements for envelopes, starter boxes, travel cases, vials, caps and labels: specification, price, minimum order quantity and lead time

  • Monitor supplier performance and handle claims

Collaboration and reporting

You'll work closely with our Operations Manager, Sourcing Specialist and HR, lead two team leads and a team of around 45 production and fulfilment colleagues, and report directly to the Head of Operations.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

Need to have

  • 2+ years in production, warehouse, fulfilment or retail. Retail counts if you ran a shift, a department or a team in a supermarket, drugstore or large-format store

  • Experience leading or coaching a team, and comfortable holding people accountable

  • HBO level of working and thinking

  • Able to prioritise and re-plan under time pressure across several departments, and happy to step in hands-on when needed

  • Comfortable reading and acting on operational reporting, and holding a supplier conversation on price, lead time and quality

  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus, as part of the team and our procedures are in Dutch

Nice to have

  • Experience in a production environment with a quality system such as GMP or ISO 22716, including audit preparation

  • Familiarity with 5S and safety standards on the work floor

  • Experience managing SLAs in a multi-channel operation with a partly flexible workforce

  • Experience with an ERP or WMS; Odoo is an advantage

  • VCA and BHV certification

What we offer

The salary for this role is €2,600–€3,000 gross per month including holiday allowance, depending on your education and experience. Beyond that:

  • A flexible Alleo budget of €50 per month, for lifestyle perks like Felyx, Treatwell, Uber Eats, Trainmore or Peakz Padel

  • Delicious, healthy team lunches

  • 25 vacation days plus an extra day off on your birthday

  • Pension plan

  • A bike plan via Swapfiets

  • A laptop

  • A personal training and development budget

  • And of course, your choice of monthly perfume. Smells nice, right?
